The situations I am addressing are the important Christian holidays, Christmas and Easter. As an extremely popular holiday shared across the world, many jobs, schools, and businesses close down on Christmas and Easter. Although these holidays aren’t celebrated throughout all religions, they’re still commonly known days that are used especially for the reflection of Jesus’ story.
Christmas is used as a time for the spiritual mirroring of major events such as the birth and Incarnation of Jesus Christ. According to BBC, Many traditions for the celebration of Christmas include going to a mass to praise and learn about the Christian holiday, decorating, and hanging up Christmas trees. Although there are more to personal decorations, it is still a very important factor of the holiday season.
Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ shortly after the day Christmas is celebrated. According to GHK, There are multiple steps to the process of celebrating the holiday. One tradition and step that is meaningful is the feasting, known as Lent. During this process, there is a fast for 40 days. Even though it's the procedure of fasting, it’s more used a promise to yourself to make a goal that is of equal gravity to the limitation of food.
As a common preached religion, Christianity is a separate bundle of practice. Learning about the significance of all holidays and traditions, the realization should come that all religions are equal in importance, and deserve recognition.
