The summary of the article Human Environment Interaction is about climate change and suitable location. This article explains the theme because it gives many examples of times the Africans had to adapt. It also talks about sub-Saharan Africa having to embrace many things and the suitable climate which is part of the environment. An example of this is when an article talked about the climate they found to be good for agriculture. They were also able to mine for gold and coins which was an interaction they had with the environment. Overall the article relates to the theme because it talks about the Africans and all the ways they were able to live using the environment to help them.
I feel like this article shows that a big part of human environment interaction is because of location and agriculture. Another human environment adaption is the climate because they had to adapt to different climates in the article. I agree when the article stated that agriculture was a way of human environment interaction because as shown in the picture they have to tear up soil in order to plant resources they need. In Africa agriculture is very important because they used it for trade in order to receive items like textiles, iron, and steel.
When this article talked about many Africans mining for gold it reminded me of the gold mine for several reasons. one of the reasons is Africans rely on gold to have many other items they need imported. It acts as a currency for Africans relating to how in the gold mine they were become rich from finding gold.
Lastly, do you agree with the ways Africa has interacted with the environment? If not what do they think they could do different?
