Summary:
This article talks about how the warming climates are affecting Africans and what kinds of problems they are now facing. Some problems the article talked about is that Africans are losing their homes because of flooding and the plague of locust. Because of this it has been very difficult for them to transport materials and food. When the floods get really bad many have to relocate to higher ground to live until the water levels go down. The locusts are causing problems with food sources because they are eating all of the farmers' crops which are supposed to feed millions of people.
Analysis:
I feel that this article did a really good job showing all the effects climate change has on Africa. It also does a good job on showing how those effects impact the people of Africa. It also talks about how the Africans have adapted to their environment so that they can survive through the harsh weather. This article gave me lots of insight about what is happening in Africa and the people who are living there.

What do you think the best way to help Africans is? How would you accomplish this?
I'm not sure that there is much that I can personally accomplish in order to conquer these mass problems, but I could always do things such as speaking out against these issues and advocating for a change.
ReplyDeleteI think the best way to help the people in Africa with flooding is to provide them with shelter and materials that will help to stop the flooding. We can also help by provide chemicals and products to stop the locust from eating farmers' crops.
ReplyDeleteI think supporting them and trying to help them as much as possible when we can is the best way, like providing food, water, heat, clothing etc. Also spreading awareness on social media is a great way to get people to learn and hear about the problems around the world.

ReplyDeleteI think a possible beneficial way to help is by providing Africans with better materials for their home to prevent water from getting inside them. This could be accomplished by a possible program to be set up where people can donate money for supplies.
