How to accommodate Islamic religious clothing into the workplace.

   

  The challenge I am addressing is how to accommodate Islamic clothing into the workplace and school. Many Muslim women who wear Hijabs are shamed and made fun of for wearing it even though it is apart of the religion of Islam. It is very important that we make these women feel safe while wearing Hijabs in schools and at work.

                  

 There are many reasons Muslim women wear Hijabs. According to the article Why do Muslim women wear a hijab Muslim women wear them for privacy, resistance to the popular belief that showing more skin is more beautiful and to show their culture/religion. In the article they also say that according to researchers many women have said that wearing Hijabs have made it harder for them to get hired. The simple solution is to just create dress codes that allow them to wear their Hijabs to work and school. Employers also need to only look at their qualifications when hiring to prevent any religious bias.
